This little town, a group of coloured houses facing the sea has a glorious history. In fact It was one of the 4 marine republic of Italy that means one of the four Italian cities (Amalfi, Pisa, Genova, Venezia) that due to their ability in commerce and navigation across the Mediterranean sea, organized themselves as independent town with their own laws and their own army and had a long period of leadership on all the other Italian towns.

The cathedral of St Andrew in arabian style, the path to the "Mill's valley", the paper factory were still now you will be able to by a special sort of paper for handwriting, the Limoncello factory (a local alcoholic drinks bases on lemon).
How to get there
take the highway to Sorrento. When you arrive in Gragnano get out of it and follow the road to Agerola. When there, take the road down to Furore and then to Amalfi.
