Ischia (or Pithecusa as it was called) was one of the first Greek colonies in the south of Italy. Nowadays, in the island there are six little towns connected by a ring road that follow the island shape. The volcanic nature of this land can be appreciated in lot of hot springs and fumarole that rise in different places of the island. So, it is possible to relax and have hot bath on the beach of Maronti or enjoy a natural sauna in some of its' grottos, or even take hot mud baths.

How to get there
The island is big enough to need a car to move around. You may either rent a car once there or embark you own car on a ferry leaving from the port of Naples. It is also possible to leave the car in the Hotel parking and go to Ischia taking a Circumvesuvaina train to Naples and once in Naples take a taxi o bus to the port.
