Pompei Hotel Villa dei Misteri

The Villa dei Misteri Hotel is located on the edge of the archaeological area of Pompeii. The ancient city's main entrance ("Porta Marina") is only 150 meters (a couple blocks) from us. The modern city's center is only two km (less than a mile) away. Two important means of transportation, the Circumvesuviana railway line and the A3 Napoli-Salerno highway, are nearby (150 and 300 meters, a few blocks). This makes the Motel Villa dei Misteri an ideal starting point for trips to the Sorrentine peninsula, the Amalfi Coast, the Mt. Vesuvius area and Naples.

In order to reach us, we usually give the following advices:

By train
Coming from Rome with Trenitalia, get off at the terminal station of NAPOLI CENTRALE. Here in the underground of the station you may take a Circumvesuviana TRAIN directed to SORRENTO, and get off at POMPEI SCAVI after a 10 miles drive (25 minutes). Our hotel is situated 200 meters upward the little hill of Pompeii digs that you will see out of the station.

By plane
Take a bus (or a taxi) that from CAPODICHINOAIRPORT, leads to the railway station of NAPOLI CENTRALE (5 miles). Here step down in the underground of the station, take a CIRCUMVESUVIANA TRAIN directed to SORRENTO, and get off at POMPEI SCAVI after a 10 miles drive (25 minutes). Our hotel is situated 200 meters upward the little hill of Pompeii digs that you will see out of the station.

By car (from North)
Coming from Rome with A1 highway, go on and take the A3 highway (also called Napoli-Pompei-Salerno. Exit at POMPEI OVEST, turn on the left and then after 200 meters again on the left. You will see on your left some toll booths, and in front of you a little road that climbs to the Pompeii ruins hill. Pass ruins entrance and continue up hill for 1/4 mile. We are on the left.

By car (from South)
Coming from Salerno with A3 highway, exit at POMPEI OVEST. (Pay attention not to exit at Scafati or Pompeii Est otherwise you will have to pass across the town centre and will reach us in a much longer time). As said before, exit at POMPEI OVEST, turn on the left and then after 200 meters again on the left. You will see on your left some toll booths, and in front of you a little road that climbs to the Pompeii ruins hill. Pass ruins entrance and continue up hill for 1/4 mile. We are on the left.
